To gather the people to use for the shoot, I used an opportunity sample and went to a coffee morning at St James church in Mapperly. In preparation for this, I sent everyone a letter the week before I was due to do the shoot informing them of what it is for an some questions for them to fill in as shown below.
I had an amazing response and below demonstrates some of the examples that I received back.
The response helped me gain a little background information about the individual and allowed me to get a little more intimate with the people in my photo which I thought was vital to gaining the results I wanted.
