Again, going along the lines of traditional portraits, with the model in a very posed way and harsh lighting.
For this one, I took the photographs in black and white and played around with the positioning of the lighting around the model to create the different shadows present. It also allowed for a high contrast set of images to be created.
For the shoot I used the aperture priority setting which created the shallow depth of field. I feel for these set of images the high contrast works well however for other certain photographs it wouldn't work in its favour.
The light is highlighting only half of the face which adds to the idea of the model keeping herself that little but more reserved than being all out there in front of the camera.
This photo shows the light lighting up the model's chest area and therefore the collarbones. It also highlights features of the face by using the shadows and lighting which instills the idea that the model is still there but also that the face is still one of the most important parts of the shoot - even if it has taken a side lined approach.
The lighting highlights the collarbones of the model, making them stand out. Collarbones and other bones sticking out is something that is commonly found within fashion photography as it is the desire of many to be small, skinny and petite.
I big distracting thing about the image is that you can see a bit of the clothing of the model under her armpit. To correct this I would either re-shoot and make sure the photo didn't have the clothing in or just simply crop the image to remove it out of the image - although I think this would disturb the positioning and com positioning of the photograph.
