Time through family photos

Through my other developments I decided that I wanted to carry on with the idea of having 4 images set out continuously so I re-shot the first shoot with a variety of different people of a range of ages.
One problem I have with the following images is that the lights have created a very distracting shadow behind the subject and if I am going to continue with this idea then I need to focus on eliminating the shadow to make a better image.
This shoot displays the process of time as it shows a range of different ages people but they are all doing the same shoot.

After I did the shoot, to portray the process of time, I got 4 ladies from the same families but of different ages to all face the same way and I took the same shot of each. I then set them out in the same continuous set of 4 images as my other development to show a continuous theme through my work
I am really happy with the outcome of these developments however the 3rd image is a little out of focus so I plan on reshooting to correct this.

The images below where they are facing each other are all separate images that i have superimposed together to give the effect they were taken at the same time with the subjects looking at each other.
The first one is mother and daughter and the second one is grandmother and granddaughter. This is another way that I have thought of to represent time through portraiture.
