My final piece! I have selected around 40 images to use as a part of my final piece and they are in connection with each other. A number of them are Portraits of people from now and how they physically look now and the other photos that make up the collection are actually photos of the same people from when they were younger - when they felt the most "vibrant and content"
I decided on this as it aids in showing the progression of time and displays that although we physically age - shown by the resent photos of the individuals, we mentally remain the same as we were all them many years ago. It also incorporates the idea of the people in the photographs revisiting themselves in a time and place where they feel they belong (from the photos they bought to show themselves where they felt most vibrant and content)
I wanted to age the look of the actual images and to do this I researched a technique on Photoshop and applied this to all the photographs. This further relates to the statement of time aiding me to achieve my original aim.
I intend to mount the images on different thicknesses of foam board to obtain a sort of 3-D effect and they will then be mounted onto black card as the images have the vintage effect and are quite pale.
I will be following a similar pattern/idea to this presentational idea I found on Pintrest.
